Giving back to the local community is something that the team at Jones & Swanson feels passionate about. Especially during the busy holiday season, it can be easy to forget that there are many in our community that are less fortunate and in need. If you are able, we urge you to give back in some way – whether it be volunteering your time or assisting a cause financially, community outreach is always worth the effort.
Fortunately, there tend to be many holiday charity and outreach events at Christmas and New Year’s to select from – we posted recently about local opportunities to volunteer for Christmas. A new outreach that the firm became involved in this year was outreach at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Last month, members of our staff reached out to Children’s employees to determine whether a need existed for gifts or other items around the holidays for patients. We were fortunate to receive a response in the form of a list of items most needed for the children and teens – like video games, board games, and more. This week, members of our team served as “Santa’s helpers” by delivering the goodies to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
We are so excited to have been able to give back to this fantastic organization in even the simplest of ways – especially when considering the significance of the work done a Children’s. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta serves as one of the largest child care providers in the U.S., offering approximately 30 specialties for children.
