Jones & Swanson was able to participate for another year in the Scarecrows In The Square event at Marietta’s beloved HarvestFest. Held each October at Glover Park in Historic Marietta Square, HarvestFest features a vibrant mix of local foods, arts, crafts, and community activities. One of the highlights of the festival, Scarecrows in the Square invites local businesses, schools, and organizations to showcase their most imaginative scarecrows.
OUR SCARECROW
This year, in an effort to tie together the spookiness of the season, and aim to make a change, Jones & Swanson partnered up with Artist Darren Shaw of ShawDraw Inc. to bring a unique twist to our scarecrow: a Jack Skellington-inspired Ozzie Albies.
Beyond his achievements on the baseball field, Ozzie has created a remarkable foundation dedicated to helping shelter dogs and challenging the misconception that shelter dogs are “bad” dogs. In support of this cause, Jones & Swanson encouraged visitors to snap photos with our scarecrow and post them online. For each image shared, we would make a donation to Albies’ foundation. All donations go towards promoting and facilitating adoption, supporting shelters in their efforts, and saving dogs from high risk situations. If you or someone you know wants to support the foundation directly you can check out their options here.

What a great turn out this year for HarvestFest, we are excited to see what’s in store for next year!
