At Jones & Swanson, we feel that it is important to be involved and give back to the Cobb County community. Our firm not only sponsors a variety of events and organizations around metro-Atlanta, but Attorneys Andrew Jones and Chase Swanson are involved in numerous legal and civic organizations.
Andrew began working as a personal injury attorney in 1993, immediately after graduating from Cumberland School of Law and passing the Georgia bar exam. He worked primarily on large commercial injury claims, as well as wrongful death lawsuits. Andrew progressed to opening his own law firm in 2006, Jones & Swanson. Since that time, he has been a member and leader in many legal communities. He has served as President of the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association, Cobb County Bar Association, Younger Lawyers Division of the Georgia State Bar, and the Cobb County Younger Lawyers Division. He was also treasurer of the Cobb County Bar and served on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Bar. For eleven years, he was a member of the Board of Governors. Atlanta Magazine votes yearly for Georgia “Rising Star” and “Super Lawyer” awards. Andrew was voted a “Rising Star” in 2005 and 2007 and has been voted a “Super Lawyer” each year since 2009. Just last month, Andrew was awarded the President’s Award by the GTLA Civil Justice Political Action Committee for the 2014 award year. More information about Andrew’s accolades can be found at his online profile.
In 2010, Andrew hired Attorney Chase Swanson as a legal intern. Upon completing his degree at Mercer University’s law school, Chase became a full time Associate at Jones & Swanson. In only a few years, Chase has made a drastic impact on the Cobb County legal community. He is extremely active and serves as President of the Cobb County Younger Lawyers Division, as well as Secretary of the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association. In a very short amount of time, Chase earned the maximum 10/10: Superb rating on the online legal community AVVO, which is a difficult feat. Chase is an avid athlete and brought this hobby to the legal community when he joined the Chairing Committee for the 2013 Sleighbells on the Square 5K. He and Andrew worked together to help organize the First Annual Law Day Classic Golf Tournament last year. In the last couple of months, Chase has been recognized for his dedicated service to the Marietta legal community through multiple awards. First, the Cobb County Bar Association awarded him the President’s Award, in recognition of services to the organization. He also earned the Ross Adams Adams Younger Lawyer Award from the Cobb County Bar Association, in appreciation of his “outstanding service and dedication to the legal community and Bar Association of Cobb County.” This award is especially distinct, as Andrew received the same award in 2002.
Community and civic involvement is of utmost importance to the attorneys and staff members of Jones & Swanson. We strive to not only win cases and serve our clients to the best of our ability, but to be involved in the legal community and give back to the area that has given so much to us.
