This year Jones & Swanson is showing our support for the 2023 Cobb EXCEL project for the Calvary Children’s Home!
What Is Excel?
EXCEL, short for Executive Competence, Excellence, and Leadership program, is an executive development program designed for Cobb County’s supervisory and management personnel. This program aims to aid participants in completing a Certificate of Local Government Management from UGA. It also has a goal of refining their skills in leadership, motivation, communication, and many other important ethical conflicts in business and community outreach.
To put it simply, this program strives to grow its participants’ knowledge of Cobb County. The class helps its students understand what actions need to be taken for this county’s future. Every graduate will eventually have a role in the future development of our cities.
This year, the program selected Calvary Children’s Home, an organization that provides a home for children who need to live away from their families. This program has housed over 400 children in its 57 years open. But the campus is in desperate need of renovation, and that’s where EXCEL is involved.
Improvements To Be Made
The 13 acres of Calvary needs a lot of outdoor work (like tree removal, drainage revamping, and an outdoor kitchen for the children). The continued support of the EXCEL program for the Calvary Children’s Home project will support providing these children with a safe and happy living space for their residency!
